Fortnite 2FA - When games become as popular as Fortnite, account incidents stolen or accused of cheating are almost unavoidable. Hoping to counter this, Epic Games offers in-game prizes for players who activate two-Factor Authentication (Fortnite 2FA), an important precaution that this guide will explain how to do.
The prize in the game is emote dance, Boogie Down, which will be given to players who manage security to increase in their account. This is a worthy gift, because dance emotes are relatively hard to come by especially for players who don't have full level access from the Battle Pass.
To enable Fortnite 2FA two-factor authentication:
In your browser, open the Epic Games website and log in to your account
Open the "Account" page
Click on the "Password & Security" tab
Here, after a little down, players can choose to activate the authenticator application, or activate email authentication. Both will give access to Boogie Down emote, so this is really a matter of preference.
When using the authenticator application, it must first be downloaded to a mobile device. There are lots to choose from, the most popular are Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator. This application can then be used to scan the QR code displayed on the Epic Games page, which will bring the application to display code that can be typed into the Epic Games page to complete the settings.
If you use email authentication, the code will only be sent to the user's email address. This code can then be entered on the Epic Games website to verify that the email is safe and complete setup. After 2FA two-factor authentication is activated on the Epic Games account, free emote dance must be credited to the player when they enter Fortnite.
Fortnite is in early access now on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
